SMS Notifications

TrackShip for WooCommerce allows you to send out SMS updates to your customers based on the shipment & delivery statuses.

To setup the SMS for the shipment status updates, first connect your SMS service provider, then, you can enable and personalize the shipment status SMS that you would like to send out.

What is SMS Service provider?

An SMS Gateway enables a computer to send and receive SMS text messages to and from a SMS capable device over the global telecommunications network.

TrackShip for WooCommerce integrates with the following SMS API providers:

To connect with your SMS service provider, in your WordPress admin, go to TrackShip > Settings and open the SMS Settings panel:

Select your SMS provider, add the API credentials and the Sender Phone Number. Once you complete the setup, go to TrackShip > Notifications > SMS and enable the shipment statuses that you want to trigger SMS to your customers:

Customizing The SMS Messages

You can use shipment tracking variables such as Shipment Status and Est. Delivery Date in the SMS content.

Available Message Placeholders

The following variables are available to use in the shipment updates SMS notifications:

{tracking_number} Tracking number/code for the shipment
{shipping_provider}Shipping carrier
{tracking_link} Link to the tracking page to track the shipment
{shipment_status}Shipment Status (i.e. In Transit, Out for Delivery, etc.)
{est_delivery_date} Estimated delivery date for that shipments (if supported by the shipping provider API)
{store_name}
{order_id}
